Hello! My name is Sarah Greer, and this is my second year at Ford and my fourth year teaching. Fourth grade is going to be an amazing year of learning and growth and I can not wait to get started!
It is my goal to help your child be the best fourth grader they can be, and that will look different for everyone! In my classroom, we encourage each other and work to build a collaborative environment where each student’s passions and talents are welcome and valued. We will explore and create, have successes and failures, and grow together. I am a proponent of creative problem solving and cultivating critical thinking, as I believe these attributes will carry our students forward not only academically, but as contributing citizens to our communities.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Longwood University, and I also earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Western Governors University.
When I am not teaching, I stay busy with my family, friends and puppy. My fiance and I moved to Colorado last summer from Virginia and have been enjoying everything that comes with this beautiful state! This past February we welcomed a mini goldendoodle named Penny to the fam! In my free time, I enjoy going to Farmers Markets, crafting, paddleboarding and baking sourdough bread!
Communication is a key component to creating the most successful environment for your child, so please do not hesitate to come talk with me. My door is always open and I welcome the opportunity to get to know you and your child. I am looking forward to the school year and thank you for sharing your child with me!
