Welcome to 4th Grade!
My name is Tony Bodily and this will be my third year teaching at Dr. Justina Ford Elementary! I began here at Ford as the STEAM teacher, transitioned to 1st grade and have landed in 4th grade this year. I graduated from William Penn University in 2020 with a degree in political science and sociology. After graduation I began substitute teaching and coaching football in my home state of Utah. I came to Colorado during the fall of 2022 to pursue my Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Educational Policy.
With my background I view our public education system as the largest community building tool in the history of civilization. With this tool we will be working to create laboratories of learning and democratic community building everyday! It is my goal to help your child be the best fourth grader they can be, and that will look different for everyone! In my classroom, we encourage each other and work to build a collaborative environment where each student’s passions and talents are welcome and valued. We will explore and create, have successes and failures, and grow together. I am a proponent of creative problem solving and cultivating critical thinking, as I believe these attributes will carry our students forward not only academically, but as contributing citizens to our communities.
When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me at home with my fiance, our dog Millie, and our three chickens (Reggie, Frank, and Dot). We are avid hikers with our mountain dog and huge skiers (Is it too early for snow yet?).
