DAY 1
After a quick ice-breaker game, we discovered Falkenberg by walking around the city. After lunch, we all attended a conference about journalism. The conference was followed by a discussion around these 3 questions:
Why is it that communication often fails in times of crisis (even though most people do their best and have the best intentions)?
Why do politicians often attack their opponents rather than talk about their own ideas?
Are we all at danger of becoming brainwashed by the many media channels we have around us?
DAY 2
On the second day, we discussed social media, weighing its benefits and drawbacks. Later that day, we all went to City Hall to attend a communication conference. We began the afternoon by watching the film "The Social Dilemma," which was followed by a lively and informative discussion about young people's use of social media.
DAY 3
On the third day, we traveled to Gothenburg and visited Världskulturmuséet (Museum of World Cultural Heritage). We visited the exhibition "Crossroads," where all of the objects told stories about how worlds and people collided and were enriched or deprived over time. Following our visit to the museum, we went to the Hasselblad Center for a guided tour of Alfredo Jaar's photo exhibition.
DAY 4
Day 4 was spent developing the charta for social media usage and planning a farewell party in the evening.
