4/22/20 - Bella (9th Grade)'s Earth Day Post
This is my carbon dioxide molecule.
This molecule represents the floppy structure of CO2 as compared to an O2 molecule. It represents the key reason why our world is experiencing global warming, rising sea levels, and extreme weather. It represents how too much CO2 in the air can cause such a change to our daily lives and environment.
I want you to know that it's real, it's happening now, and it's your responsibility to help and protect us from the consequences of climate change. I want you to know that it's the reason why species are slowly going extinct and losing habitat and there are more droughts, wildfires, and more effective and dangerous hurricanes. I want you to know that the future of the human species, the future of life, and the future of the planet depends all on the steps we take now to combat climate change.
As our world grows, we need a plan to keep it healthy and have a better future. It's time to take action, to fight for our future, for our children's, for our grandchildren's, and so on. You must understand the significance of the choices you make to build the tomorrow we need.
