We are currently working to help make the National Museum of Natural History's lighting more energy efficient!
We are middle school students from Lowell School in D.C. We are interested in making a difference using our education on climate change. How did we start? One weekend, one of our favorite teachers, Natalie, got a phone call from Jim, a climate change specialist, saying that he wanted to come to Lowell and help educate us on climate change. Some of our past members include Abigail, Antonia, and Adam, while today some of our current members are Emma, Luca, Noemi, Elvy, Kepler, and Isabel.
We want to make a difference in the world. As kids it's hard, but together we are a strong force and we want to make others see the damage they may be doing to our Earth. Although we feel very small, we are a group to be reckoned with. From lightbulbs to CO2, we have enough information to change the way others see climate change. Some people don't even think its real! I can tell you that it is very, very real. It can also be very, very scary. We have traveled from our school to art galleries and more. We are growing.
