Plagiarism, AI, and the Senior Project 

All work submitted should be original and reflect your own thoughts, analysis, and writing. Original work is expected on all Senior Project assignments. Plagiarism, including copying from other students, the internet, or any other source without proper attribution, is strictly prohibited. Academic dishonesty such as cheating, copying homework, plagiarism (from peers or the internet), or unethical behavior will result in a strike and/or 0 on an assignment with no make-up opportunity. Persistent academic dishonesty may result in failure of the class and/or administrative referral with appropriate consequence. Use of artificial intelligence “AI” as a tool for research, outlining, or exemplification purposes is acceptable. You may not use AI to generate entire sentences or full sections of your work, nor may you use AI tools (including Grammarly or automated editors) for line-by-line revision and editing. Passing off AI-edited or generated text as your own is considered plagiarism. AI usage is evaluated through a combination of digital analysis tools, writing pattern reviews, and direct comparisons to your known original writing samples. Senior Project Advisor and Teacher judgment on violations is final and non-contestable.
