Live Oak High School seniors are required to complete 10 hours of approved community service. These hours must be verified by April 22nd.
LOHS seniors work hard to help the community. Let's continue that tradition! The Class of 2026 will be working towards 2000 hours serving the community. GO LIONS!
What is community service? It is the giving of one’s time, effort, and skills outside of school class time for the purpose of benefiting the community without monetary compensation.
Selection of community service opportunities
Students select a “hands-on” community service project of interest, and then contact the non-profit organization to sign up.
The organization must be able to use student volunteers outside of the school day on weekdays or weekends.
Options for community service include, but are not limited to the following:
Trunk or Treat
Humane Society/Animal Shelters
Luther/Encinal Schools
Museums
Civic Organizations/Activities
