HISTORICAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF LORMA COLLEGES

• LORMA was founded by pioneer physicians Dr Rufino N. Macagba Sr and Dr Crispina Lorenzana-Macagba in 1934, starting with a small clinic in their home in Carlatan, San Fernando, which grew to a 100-bed hospital by 1970, and a 200-bed tertiary level medical center by 2015. In 1970, the LORMA School of Nursing was founded by Dr Rufino L. Macagba Jr who was Director of LORMA Hospital at the time. In 1976, ABC Fun School was started by LORMA founders Drs Rufino & Crispina Macagba as a nursery school, which became LORMA Grade School in 1981. LORMA Colleges Inc was incorporated in 2004 when San Juan campus opened with the Basic Education Schools.
