My name is Shannon Carpenter, and I am proud to be a Lorena Leopard!
I grew up in Waco, Texas and attended both public and private schools. I received a Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Texas. After returning to school for a teaching certificate, I also finished a Masters in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. This will be my fourteenth year in education.
I have a true passion for working with our middle school learners. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures growth in a positive environment.
I have been married to my husband John for twelve years and we have two wonderful sons, Peyton and Paxton.
I look forward to working together with you as partners in your child’s academic journey.

My name is Bethany Bailey, and this is my 13th year of teaching, and my 5th year at Lorena Middle School as a special education math teacher. I grew up in Lorena and attended K-12 at LISD. I am very fortunate to live in Lorena with my two daughters and our one acre farm of dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks right next door to my parents and where I grew up. I love helping students learn math, but I have a special place in my heart for working with students who need a little extra support.
