Howdy! My family and I have just moved to Lorena and we love it already! Everyone has been incredibly welcoming. My husband is the principal at LHS, and we have two children. Ryder is six and in First grade, and Avyn will turn one on Thanksgiving, this year. I have taught for 16 years, mostly English along with some Social Studies. I have experience in a variety of grades levels: Pre K-3 to 12th grade. English and communication are imperative for success. My goal is to help students connect the dots between the literature and communication in the real world. I am looking forward to diving into this adventure as a Lorena Leopard!

Hi! I'm Mackenzie James and I teach 8th Grade English. I am also the Middle School Girls' Athletic Coordinator. I coach HS Basketball and HS Track as well. I have been married to my husband, Taylor, for 5 years. We have a 3 year old son, Brady. I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2015 with degree in Kinesiology. This will be my 8th year at Lorena and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else!
