I. SAFETY

  1. On the playground students must be visible at all times and not more than 20 seconds away from the supervising extended day staff.

  2. Children must get permission to leave the classroom, playground or move to an activity in another area.

II. SCHOOL EMERGENCIES

If an emergency occurs at the school, these procedures will be followed:

  1. Fire, power outages, and other natural disasters:

    • Extended Day Staff will follow the school’s emergency plan. Please refer to your school handbook regarding this procedure.

  2. Snow days and/or severe inclement weather days:

    • We will remain open whenever possible. If the school closes prior to, during or after the normal school day (due to inclement weather or school site emergency), the Extended Day program will also close.

  3. Parents and/or emergency contacts will be contacted, in this event, by the site instructor and/or the Extended Day staff to pick up child(ren).
