School Celebrations

At the JMF Early Childhood School the Holiday Sing Along took place on Thursday, December 21 under the direction of the ESL, World Language, and the Talented Team teachers. The kindergarten students sang multicultural holiday songs such as “El Burrito Sabanero” and the “Dreydl Song” which featured dancers. The JMF School audience truly enjoyed watching and listening to the kindergardeners. It was truly inspiring! The students and staff had a great time and cannot wait for the next big school wide event!

The GLC School celebrated the December holidays by making holidays houses and having a schoolwide sing a long. Over 300 hundred students participated in the Holiday House fundraiser to help Long Branch families. The kids had a great time putting together their houses with icing, graham crackers and all sorts of candies. The all purpose room smelled of icing for days after. The whole school celebrated the beginning of winter break by having a sing a long which included songs in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The children enjoyed singing, dancing and even a visit from Santa! I was a great way to kick off the winter break.

On Saturday December 2, Long Branch Football won it's third State Championship with a two-point conversion. This gave Long Branch a 43-42 overtime win over Freehold in the NJSIAA Central Group IV championship game at Rutgers University. This is the third state win for Long Branch. The other wins were in 1986 and 1999.
