A comprehensive process to prepare students for career transition is in place. Students are given co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities that support career goals. Students are supported and recognized by staff.

Each year Lincoln Technical Academy hosts a "Mock Interview Event" and the AOJ Program participates to provide the students an opportunity to be interviewed by local industry professionals.
Students learn soft skills such as public speaking, interviewing, writing resumes, cover letter, letter's of interest, and completing a job application.
Each year the most qualified students are encouraged, and usually attain, joining the Lodi PD Cadet Program as well as other Cadet and Explorer programs in the region.
Lodi PD (one of several agencies in the county) currently employees over a dozen former Lincoln Technical Academy AOJ students in a variety of positions within the department including, Officer, Dispatch, CSO, and Property Technician.

Lincoln Technical Academy (LTA) students are supported by our counselor and their comprehensive site counselor.
Students are evaluated annually to ensure they are on track to graduate and to prepare for future educational/employment opportunities.
Students who need to make up any credits are able to work through both our Credit Recovery and Summer School programs.
CTE students are exceptionally prepared for College and Career.
CTE students are tracked for high school completion and by the California Department of Education's CTE Follow Up Study. The follow up study is in place to assist in providing programmatic insight and industry need.
The structure of the current LTA / AOJ class is "block scheduling" with 3 blocks per day. This allows provides about 300 hours of instruction time per class / per year.

The completer rate is about 90%-91% each year.
Currently, the AOJ program does not offer any industry certificates. However, site/instructor certification is in place and LTA / AOJ intend to offer Security Guard Certification as part of the Adult School offerings at LTA.
ACS WASC advances and validates quality ongoing school improvement by supporting its private and public elementary, secondary, and postsecondary member institutions to engage in a rigorous and relevant self-evaluation and peer review process that focuses on student learning.
Lodi Unified School District has a number of CTE programs that compete annually in SkillsUSA local, statewide, and national competitions.
Although it has been a few years since Lincoln Technical Academy's AOJ has participated in SkillsUSA, it is a part of our 3 year goals to return to consistent involvement.
Students are made aware career opportunities offered in the community
Students are participating in work-based learning, shadowing, and/or internships
Current and past students are working with local LEO's as an explorer or cadet.
First Semester final exam includes a field trip to CQB City, a local law enforcement air soft training facility.

Student recognition has been updated to show on-going student accomplishments on a revolving monitor in the entryway lobby at Lincoln Technical Academy, replacing an old student work cork board.
Students actively participate in community events, such as the Lodi Downtown Light Parade and AMGEN Tour of California, while students in the AOJ program. Many students have gone on to be police officers, dispatchers, CSO's, probation offices, special agents, and more criminal justice field occupations. The LTA / AOJ program has placed students in industry in every agency in the San Joaquin County and many agencies outside of the county.
