Instruction must be systematic and reflect the program goals. Marketing and recruitment are critical to program strength and viability. Policies for managing resources and budgets are crucial to good stewardship.
MISSION STATEMENT
Lincoln Technical Academy / Lodi Adult School are committed to preparing students for college, career, and life readiness utilizing academic and industry standards that empower students.
As stated on the California Department of Education's CTE website:
Parent Involvement
Parents are an important part of each LEA’s CTE advisory committee and their active involvement is required per US Education Code.
Each CPA must have an advisory committee made up of all stakeholder groups, including parents.
Pupil Engagement
CTE increases engagement in school by involving students as decision-makers and “owners” of their education process.
CTE significantly increases not only the high school graduation rate, but also results in a higher percentage of students going to college and persisting through graduation.
Students taking both academic and technical courses have lower dropout rates and better achievement gains than other students.
Students of Regional Occupational Centers and Programs were typically from lower achieving and lower socioeconomic status than peers, but were just as likely to enroll in postsecondary education and eventually earn higher wages.
Students have a decreased risk of dropping out of high school as they add CTE courses to their curriculum.
High-risk students are 8 to 10 times less likely to drop out in grades ten and eleven if they enroll in a CTE program instead of a general program.
The National Dropout Prevention Center/Network states quality CTE and related guidance programs are “essential for all students” and coupled with other strategies have the most impact on the dropout rate.
The overall goal of the program is to prepare students for careers in Law Enforcement while strengthening our community by improving their perception of LEO's.

Lodi Unified School District is committed to supporting its staff and students by providing resources, services and programs designed to enhance and expand CTE programs and embed the 11 Elements of High Quality CTE Programs. All district CTE programs are generously funded and maintained utilizing several braided funding sources: LCFF, CTEIG, Perkins, and K12SWP. The district contributes funds specifically for Lincoln Technical Academy and its programs in supporting all CTE teacher salaries and benefits. Lincoln Technical Academy administration works closely with CTE teachers to determine classroom needs, such as classroom materials, consumables, software, supplies and equipment. CTE administration allocates funds to programs for field trips, guest speakers, professional development, student workshops, conferences, and CTSO activities.
Lodi Unified School District's CTE budgeting procedure includes a Funding Request Form that all CTE teachers complete to request funds for classroom supplies, equipment, field trips, conferences, etc. The form includes information such as reason for the request, justification as to how the request will enhance and expand the program and benefit students. Quotes are also required to accompany the request. The completed forms are submitted to the CTE administration and reviewed. Decisions for approval or denial are based on several factors; need, justification, benefit to students, and available funds.
