Although Lodi High School received a 6 year WASC accreditation with a 3 year visit, the self-study revealed that there were areas that needed improvement and growth targets and goals were established. With administrative approval a Block/Flex Committee was created as a way to explore how schedule changes can postively impact our students. We focused on 3 goals: increasing student opportunities through offering 7 periods, increasing the effectiveness of PLCs, and utilizing SSR as a true intervention piece. A committee was created and an initial survey was given to gage staff priorities.
When we returned to a new school year a presentation was given to update staff new to Lodi High and to report back on school visitations. Members of the committee visited: Jim Elliot, Oak Ridge High School, Woodland High School and Mountain House. Committee members took questions asked by staff with them and the responses are included below.
Mrs. Lundgren, Ms. Lampson and Mrs. Oesterman visited Oak Ridge High School.

If you are interested in comparisons between Lodi High and the sites we visited there are statistics from the California School Dashboard in the slide show. We were not able to visit Laguna Creek because they were in the middle of their WASC accreditation.
