LMHS STUDENTS AGAINST MELANOMA CLUB
The Students Against Melanoma Club was formed in 2018 by Mrs. Colleen Quinn-Maxwell in an effort to bring awareness for sun safety to the community of Lower Moreland School District. With the help of the tremendous SAM Club advocates and the support of the Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation in West Palm Beach Florida, the LMHS SAM Club has been able to make big changes in a short amount of time.
We are the 1st SAM Club in Pennsylvania and 1st Sun Smart School. Students in the SAM Club has service at the forefront of their mission to help others.
Students are passionate to make change and help others and I am so appreciative of each of their hard work.
We have organized and planned successful fundraisers supporting small businesses, melanoma survivors, research and service and in addition attended multiple community events to raise awareness for wearing sunscreen and the risks of being in the sun.
Have you had your skin checked?
