LionVoice a Cappella is Murray Avenue School and Lower Moreland Middle School's flagship vocal ensemble. LionVoice is an auditioned pop a cappella group (similar to Pentatonix and the vocal groups seen in movies like Pitch Perfect). LionVoice is comprised of ~40 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who are highly committed and must successfully complete a rigorous multi-round audition process to be considered for selection. Singers in LionVoice can expect to have an advanced, rigorous vocal music education with special emphasis on pop vocal technique, develop small ensemble skills, and sing challenging pop, rock, soul, and jazz repertoire. LionVoice has performed at many venues throughout the region, including Citizens Bank Park and The Wells Fargo Center on multiple occasions, The Liacouras Center, and various choral festivals and competitions. LionVoice has workshopped with professional musicians like Lawrence (currently on tour with the Jonas Brothers), world-renowned vocal group, Accent, and Emmy Award-winning music producer, Shams Ahmed. Additionally, LionVoice has won many awards at regional competitions, was a finalist in the 2022 B101 Christmas Choir Competition, and WON the 2023 B101 Christmas Choir Competition. LionVoice has multiple releases available for streaming on all major music streaming platforms. Finally, and most importantly, LionVoice is a group of singers who are committed to making the highest quality music they possibly can, deep and vibrant artistry, and building a lifelong connection to each other.
