What is Google Drawings?

Google Drawings is for creating drawings with images, shapes, and text. Drawings support real-time collaboration, can be embedded in Docs and Sites, downloaded as PDF, JPEG, or PNG, and remain clear at any size as vector images.

Ways to start a Drawing:

Drive > New > More > Drawings
Google doc > Insert > Drawing > New

Turn drawings into templates.

The Ocean Food Web example becomes interactive when the student must move the images & add arrows to create a food web.

Additional instructions can be added in a text box placed in the margin, outside the drawing "canvas."

Change Background

Change the background with CTRL + click background

Resize Canvas

Resize the canvas by dragging the bottom right corner of the canvas

Insert Diagrams

Add timelines, webs, and more with Insert > Diagrams

Add Hyperlinks

Make objects and images clickable with Select object > Insert > Link > paste URL
