The Harriton High School World Language Department focuses on communication within the cultural context of the language. The main goal of a world language class is to communicate in the target language through speaking, writing, listening, or reading while gaining knowledge and understanding of other cultures. World Language classes help students to connect with other disciplines to acquire a deeper insight into one’s own language and culture and participate in multilingual communities and global societies.
Students at Harriton can study French, Spanish, or Latin.
