The Harriton High School Unified Arts Department educates and inspires students to be active participants in society with the highest aspirations for creative and social achievement, individual expression, scholarly discovery and innovation.
The Unified Arts Department strives to embrace and engage a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and the community in the production and discourse of the arts – empowering the artists, scholars, educators, audiences, and advocates who will shape the culture of the twenty-first century.

What are the pathways?
View the Art Pathways here. All courses can be taken as stand alone classes or as a progressive sequence throughout students' four years.
How long are the courses?
Intro courses are a semester in length; upper level courses are year-long and offered at the honors level. Students have the option to take an honors level course after taking a semester of an intro level.
Should I enroll into Honors, AP, or IB?
Students choosing honors level, AP or IBVA should expect more challenging content, a greater level of rigor, faster pace, and additional homework. Students at this level are also considering putting together a portfolio.

Freshmen are recommended to explore the courses offered by the business department by enrolling in Foundations of Business and/or Entrepreneurship.
Juniors and seniors have an opportunity to expand their knowledge learned in the business courses by taking an additional four courses offered through our LMSD Dual Enrollment Program.

Who can take physical education electives?
Students in grades 10-12 may elect to take physical education electives.

View the Music Pathways here. Students are able to participate in ensembles (Band/Choir/Orchestra) for all four years in high school.
Can a student sign up for more than one ensemble?
Students may take more than one ensemble in any given year, if their schedule permits.

How can I become involved in music groups outside of the school day?
