Jess Furneaux

Jess Furneaux is a highly experienced guitar instructor and professional touring musician, who specialises in electric guitar across all styles, with a particular focus on rock and metal lead techniques, including soloing and advanced fretboard skills. Jess began her music career at the age of 13 and within two years of playing, she acquired her Rockschool Grade 8 in Electric Guitar. Following this, she went on to study at the 'Institute of Contemporary Music Performance', completing a Diploma and Higher Diploma in Music Performance. Jess gained a First-Class Honours degree at the 'Detroit Institute of Music Education', accredited by 'Falmouth University' in Music Performance and Guitar Excellence, further refining technical ability and musical expertise. Jess has been playing professionally for over 15 years.
With 14 years of teaching experience, Jess has taught guitar and bass privately, and in music schools, including the London School of Music and The London School of Arts, helping students pass exams, hone their skills, musicality, and confidence. Jess has a strong track record in tutoring students for graded exams up to Grade 8 and Degree level, including examining boards such as Rockschool, Trinity, LCM and ABRSM ensuring they achieve top results with a structured and engaging approach.
As an accomplished performer, Jess has toured extensively across the UK, Europe, and the USA, playing with original bands, and as a sought-after session guitarist. She has performed at iconic venues such as, the NEC Arena, to audiences of 15,000, various 02 Academy's, Bloodstock Festival, Latitude Festival and many more.
