School District's Preschool!

Our play-based program follows the California Preschool Learning Foundations and Curriculum Framework from the California Department of Education, Early Learning Division. The curriculum and professional support provide an enriched early childhood program that prepares children for kindergarten and includes Preschool GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design) strategies. 

Our preschool program provides an enriched environment that supports children’s intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development. Classes are for potty-trained children who turn 3 by September 1 and serve mixed ages 3–5 in one classroom. Research shows that quality preschool reduces the need for later remedial classes and helps foster a lifelong love of learning. Both fee-based and state-funded (income- and need-eligible) programs are offered throughout the school district.  

Teaching Staff
-Each classroom follows a 1:8 ratio (1 adult for every 8 children). 

-Our teaching staff includes a site supervisor/lead teacher, a teacher, and an instructional aide.

-Site Supervisors/Lead Teachers hold a Child Development Permit, which is the State of California Teaching Credential that is issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
