Parent Cafe
The LJSD Parent Café is a welcoming and collaborative space designed to support families during the most important early years of a child’s life—from newborn to age five. We believe that a child’s health, well-being, and readiness for school begin early, and as your child’s first and most important teacher, your knowledge, experiences, and actions play a vital role in shaping their success.
Through monthly online and in-person gatherings, families come together to share ideas, discuss needs and concerns, and help enhance programs and resources that support children’s growth and learning. The Parent Café provides opportunities for parent education, adult learning, and connection with other families, while fostering a strong partnership between parents, programs, and the wider community. Together, we are building a supportive family network that empowers parents and ensures every child is prepared to thrive in school and beyond.
Learning Link
Lowell Joint School District's Learning Link is an interactive center for parents/guardians and their children newborn to five years old. This space is used for parents/guardians to bring their child and participate in fun, developmentally appropriate activities together!
We currently provide 6 week sessions throughout the 2025-2026 school year in order to provide as many opportunities for families to participate. Session dates are listed below, along with registration for the most current session. There are limited spots available, so please click the link below, and complete the form and we will be in contact with you at least one week prior to the session beginning. More information HERE

Preschool
Our preschool program provides an enriched environment that supports children’s intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development. Classes are for potty-trained children who turn 3 by September 1 and serve mixed ages 3–5 in one classroom. Research shows that quality preschool reduces the need for later remedial classes and helps foster a lifelong love of learning. Both fee-based and state-funded (income- and need-eligible) programs are offered throughout the school district. More information can be found HERE.
