Welcome!
I am a first-generation student who received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Las Vegas- Nevada in 2022. My degree is split between Sociology and Business Administration where I hope to continue my education in law school. My end goal is to increase the percentage of Latina women who are lawyers and focus on helping those who need it the most. As a woman with a diverse background, I have learned that nothing is given and everything is earned. I have overcome the stereotypes society places on us and I only hope to use my knowledge and experiences to help the future leaders of the world. Being a Cohort 4 member myself, I am proud to be part of the success story that LIT strives to create. Being in LIT has only increased my passion for giving back to the community and pushing the next generations to do even better than I did. Joining LIT has shown me that opportunities are endless as long as you work hard enough.
My commitment to you:
This is my 2nd year as a Program Manager, and I thank all of you for everything I have learned. I am so excited to get to know all of you in more depth! I can't wait to watch all of you grow and become the best leader possible! I am here to support you in any way I can during your time here. I will always be your biggest cheerleader.

Mental Health Resources
While LIT does not currently have a counselor right now, we encourage you to connect with Solutions of Change. They provide free counseling/therapy services to families who have an income of under 55k. If your family makes more than that, they will provide services at a discounted rate. The first appointment is $75 and every appointment after that is $40 - all sessions are 50 minutes.
If this is something you're interested in, you come talk to me and we'll then get in contact with Ms. Sheila from Solutions of Change. She will support you in getting the process started. Please tell her you're from LIT.
