This book and accompanying video are the result of the collaboration between students from St Joseph's Alstonville and three local author/illustrators - Matt Ottley, Lisa Tiffen and Tina Wilson. These three creatives have an extensive repertoire of works between them, including books, art works and musical compositions.
The students participated in multiple workshops with Tina and Lisa on the story writing process. From brainstorming ideas through to the final edit.
They then worked with Matt on the music for the animation video. Using visualization, body percussion, instruments and voices to create a spectacular sound scape.

Our whole school participated in writing and illustrating workshops with our visiting artists, Lisa and Tina. They explored different drawing techniques and created amazing short stories which they shared with their stages. From this experience students in stages 2 and 3 were invited to nominate to participate in our multi-modal writing workshops. The selected students had to meet specific selection criteria and commit to the workload. The 16 successful students participated in numerous workshops with Tina, Lisa and Matt, facilitated by Ms Kingsford.
Thanks to the Catholic Schools Office Lismore for their financial support through the 2021 Arts Partnership Grant. This funding enabled us to facilitate whole school writing and illustration workshops and our intensive Multimodal Writing Workshops for our selected students. Thanks also to the Leadership Team and Staff of St Joseph's School Alstonville for their unending support and encouragement. Special thanks to Library Manager Ms Rosalind Kingsford for her dedication, guidance and creativity.
