What is Cobalt?

Cobalt is on the periodic table of elements, and it is a transition metal. A transition metal is any metal on the periodic table that occupy a central block. It has the chemical abbreviation Co, and the atomic number 27. It can be found in the d-block elements, and is typically found in the earth as an alloy. (Joined with another metal). Mining is the primary method for collecting cobalt, and it is often found in the Congo* and Zambia.
