The Western Lowland Gorilla inhabits DRC, The Democratic Republic of Congo. This species is fascinating, being so closely related to humans. Being there is only 125,000 left in the wild (roughly) this species is critically endangered. Scientists estimate the species has 25 years to live. Even with all the threats erased, it will take 75 years for the species to recover. Not unless we do something about it.
The species is the most populated compared to other species, but it's numbers are still declining. But if you help, it will already make a huge difference!
