Meet the Counselor Team

Karina Garcia - (School Counselor Community Liaison) Mrs. Garcia is the counselor for the STARS after school program. In addition, she assists with parent workshops and supports the community. Mrs. Garcia enjoys spending time with her family. She loves to travel and also enjoys shopping.

Karina García - (Consejera escolar enlace comunitario) La Sra. García es la consejera del programa extracurricular STARS. Además, asiste con talleres para padres y apoya a la comunidad. La Sra. García disfruta pasar tiempo con su familia. Le encanta viajar y también le gusta ir de compras.

Rebecca (Becky) Aguilar (Early Childhood Social Emotional Inclusion Specialist) Mrs. Aguilar is the counselor for Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) . She enjoys learning to have a "greenthumb" and caring for plants. 

Rebecca (Becky) Aguilar- (Especialista en Inclusión Socioemocional en la Primera Infancia) La Sra. Aguilar es la consejera de preescolar y kínder de transición (TK). Disfruta aprendiendo a cultivar plantas y cuidando de ellas.

Viviane Rosales (Jefferson)- Mrs. Rosales is the counselor at Jefferson Learning Community. In her free time she enjoys traveling with her family and going on road trips.

La Sra. Rosales es la consejera de Jefferson Learning Community. En su tiempo libre le gusta viajar con su familia y hacer viajes por carretera.

Lorena S. Leon (Kennedy)- Mrs. Leon is the counselor at Kennedy Learning Community. In her free time she enjoys traveling and going on adventures with her family.

Erica Mendez (Lincoln)- Mrs. Mendez is the counselor at Lincoln Learning Community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and working on mindfulness.

La Sra. Méndez es la consejera de Lincoln Learning Community. En su tiempo libre, le gusta pasar tiempo con su familia y trabajar en la atención plena.

Melissa Villa (Roosevelt)- Mrs. Villa is the counselor at Roosevelt Learning Community. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family and going camping in her trailer at the beach.

La Sra. Villa es la consejera de Roosevelt Learning Community. En su tiempo libre, le gusta viajar con su familia y acampar en su caravana en la playa.

Angel Cortes (Washington)- Mr. Cortes is one of the counselors at Washington Learning Community. In his spare time he enjoys watching and playing football.

El Sr. Cortés es uno de los consejeros de Washington Learning Community. En su tiempo libre le gusta mirar y jugar al fútbol americano. 

Ivett Urrutia (Washington)- Mrs. Urrutia is one of the counselors at Washington Learning Community. In her spare time she enjoys all home decor and doing home projects.

La Sra. Urrutia es una de las consejeras de Washington Learning Community. En su tiempo libre disfruta de la decoración del hogar y de realizar proyectos domésticos.

Jose Magallanes (Lindsay High School)- Mr. Magallanes is one of the counselors at Lindsay High School. This year he is the counselor for learners with the last name, A-Garb. In his spare time he enjoys soccer. 

El Sr. Magallanes es uno de los consejeros de Lindsay High School. Este año es el consejero para estudiantes con el apellido A-Garb. En su tiempo libre disfruta del fútbol.

Marcela Serratos (Lindsay High School)- Mrs. Serratos is one of the counselors at Lindsay High School. This year she is the counselor for learners with the last name, Garcia-Mora. In her free time she enjoys going shopping, and spending time with her family.

La Sra. Serratos es una de las consejeras de Lindsay High School. Este año es la consejera de estudiantes de apellido García-Mora. En su tiempo libre le gusta ir de compras y pasar tiempo con su familia.

Francisca Peña (Alternative Education)- Ms. Peña is the counselor for Alternative Education. This includes John J.Cairns Continuation High School (10th-12th), Loma Vista Charter School (K-12th), Lindsay Community Day School (7th-12th), and Lindsay Adult Education. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys cooking and trying different foods.

La Sra. Peña es la consejera de Educación Alternativa. Esto incluye la escuela secundaria de continuación John J. Cairns (10º-12º), la escuela autónoma Loma Vista (K-12º), la escuela diurna comunitaria Lindsay (7º-12º), y la educación para adultos de Lindsay. En su tiempo libre disfruta pasar tiempo con su familia. También le gusta cocinar y probar diferentes comidas.
