In IMPACT, students will be evaluated on 4-3-2-1 Proficiency Scales for each Competency. The competencies were determined based on the Missouri Learning Standards. English, Social Studies, and Art will each have 10 Proficiency Scales detailing the content that students must show mastery of to earn credit for the course. See the Sample English Proficiency Scale below.
Students will submit 3 pieces of evidence to each proficiency scale in order to demonstrate their mastery. Students will have choice in the types of evidence they submit and through which seminars.
The scores from each piece of evidence will be translated into an overall score for each competency and then all combined to an overall grade for the course. The final score will be transcripted as all LHS courses are. See the Grade Conversion Chart below.
