Can I do IMPACT and programs like South Tech/Show Choir/Engineering/STUCO?

• • Currently, IMPACT is a half-day program offered during 5th through 7th hours for sophomores and 4th through 7th for Juniors.

  • Scheduling conflicts with other Diploma+ programs will be considered on an individual basis. Some programs cannot be done concurrently due to hours offered. 

  • In the long term, as IMPACT grows, conflicts may decrease.

What will my morning schedule look like?

• Sophomores: Outside of IMPACT, you will register for 4 courses - Math, Science, and two non-Art electives. 

• Juniors: Outside of IMPACT, you will register for 3 or 4 courses, depending on if you take IMPACT hour - Math, Science, and one or two electives. 

Are Honors or AP courses offered in IMPACT?

• Honors or AP courses may be offered depending on the interest of students enrolled in IMPACT.  On the application, you will indicate potential interest in honors courses.

Will my transcript look different?

• Your transcript will look the same as other students at LHS.

• It will indicate that you took courses in IMPACT, just as it shows the other courses that you took in your time at LHS.

How do colleges/universities view programs like IMPACT?

• Schools across the country have implemented programs like IMPACT. When your transcript is sent to any college or university, they will receive information regarding IMPACT and how it differs from traditional programs.
