Day 17 - Mar 8

Indigenous Focus

Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.”

REFLECTION FOR THE DAY

If there is a major holiday or observance, what is the  Indigenous perspective? Consider events, such as, New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Halloween, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, and Veteran’s Day. How can you find out what the Indigenous perspective is for each of the above? Do you know any Indigenous observances and is time off work given for them?

After today's challenge work:

Did you have any ‘a-ha’ moment?

Did you feel any discomfort?

What will you do differently based on your challenge today?
