As a proud Alumni, I am happy to say this will be my 12th year at Limestone!
Along with many office duties, I enjoy registering incoming 8th graders every year and new transfer students from all over, throughout the year.
Also, it gives me great pleasure to see and meet students whose parents were classmates of mine! Keeping the Rocket tradition going!

This is my 6th year as a school counselor at LCHS. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and earned my BA in business at Trinity International while playing football and baseball. Ten years later I returned to school for my Masters in Mental Health Counseling a TIU. After four years working in private practice mental health in Wheaton, IL, I returned to school again for my School Counseling Certificate from Northern Illinois University. I have been working with high school age students in some capacity for nearly 15 years now. Prior to moving to the Peoria area I was involved in a Men’s baseball league in which I had an over .400 batting average over 8 years. Outside of school I do some private practice counseling, love to spend time outside with my family, enjoy various sporting events and cooking. I truly believe that it takes a village to raise a child and I am excited about being a part of this community. I look forward to working with students and their families to help them figure out what success looks like and how to get there.

Hello! This is my second year at Limestone Community High School and I’m excited to be here! I grew up about an hour north of Bartonville/Peoria. After high school, I attended Bradley University. I did my student teaching at John Marshall Metropolitan High School in Chicago and began coaching at the same time. I taught English and coached various sports at Benito Juarez Community Academy in the Pilsen neighborhood in Chicago for 3 years. While teaching, I always felt pulled toward making deeper connections with students and helping them through the big things in life. My wife and I moved from Chicago to Texas, where we lived for 4 years. I earned my MS in Counseling (School) from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. We returned to the Peoria area to be closer to family and friends. I worked at East Peoria Central Junior High School in a hybrid school/mental health counselor and coached baseball and basketball for 2 years. Most recently, I worked as School Counselor at Roanoke-Benson High School for the last 7 years. My family and I try to stay involved in many things and try to give back to our community. Similarly, I hope to bring what I can to benefit the LCHS community as a School Counselor and more.

Linda Tucker
School Social Worker
Hello, I have been working at Limestone Community High School as a School Social Worker since 2005. I first started working only with students with IEPs and now I work with any student in our building. I am often a person who sees students in times of crisis, for ongoing services or as part of our Student Success Team programing. Quick Bio: I grew up in Peoria. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development from Western Illinois University and a Master’s in Social Work through the University of Illinois. My previous work background includes restaurant management, working with pregnant and parenting teen girls in a residential setting and as a foster care case manager. Outside of the school setting, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and going to see live music as much as possible.
My goal is always to help students build on their strengths and to improve the areas of social emotional health where they struggle. I believe that every student has talents and skills that they are meant to share with the world and I try to help students I work with identify theirs.

Jamie Johnson BS
APEX & Blended Learning Program Coordinator
I have been at LCHS for 6 years and I am the THRIVE and APEX Coordinator. I have a very unique background that has led me to my current position. I have worked with students for the last 25 years at a variety of different levels including youth education, drug prevention, counseling and coaching. I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Bradley University and a teaching certificate in Health from the University of West Florida. I am also the varsity softball coach at LCHS. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, going to concerts, outdoor activities and traveling.
My philosophy when it comes to working with young adults is to have a conversation with them and let them know that you are listening to them, then work from there. Mutual respect is always expected. All students can reach their goals and dreams with hard work and a helping hand.
