Khan Academy provides free SAT practice online. Students can create an account with Khan Academy and link it to their College Board account to receive personalized, SAT practice. Khan will use the student’s PSAT score report to develop personalized practice lessons.

SAT
Juniors will take the SAT test in the Spring. The SAT is a college entrance exam that is used for admission decisions. The purpose of it is to measure a student’s readiness for college. The SAT is also a high school graduation requirement. All juniors will take the SAT at Limestone High School on April 12, 2023.
The SAT is required by some colleges for admission and it is optional for others. It can also be required to be considered for certain merit scholarships. If you are a senior and would like to retake the SAT test, please see your counselor about how to register and pay for a Saturday session.
PSAT/NMSQT
Juniors will take the PSAT/NMSQT at Limestone High School on October 12, 2022. The PSAT is a practice test that will help students prepare for the Spring SAT. If your student earns a high test score, he/she could be recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program. National Merit is an academic competition that recognizes students across the nation with high PSAT scores: https://www.nationalmerit.org If your student qualifies as a Commended Student or Semifinalist, he/she will be notified by a school official from Limestone High School.
PSAT 8/9 and PSAT 10:
Ninth graders will take the PSAT 8/9 and sophomores will take the PSAT 10 on April 12, 2023. Both of these tests will help identify your student’s strengths and weaknesses so they can better prepare for the SAT.
