Checking for Rotation in SmartLabel

Use these steps to ensure rotation is working in your SmartLabel device before running an experiment.

Click on the rotation speed. This will bring you into the rotation settings window.
Click the button that displays the current speed of 0.01.
On the right, click and drag the scroll bar to a speed between 2 and 3 RPM.
Press "save" then "escape".
Start rotation.
Look to see if the cup is spinning smoothly in the chamber. Make sure the cup can do one full rotation.
- If the cup is struggling to rotate, refer to the Troubleshooting guide's section on rotation.
If the cup rotates successfully, open the rotation window again.
Click on the button that shows the current speed.
Click and drag the bar all the way to the bottom so it shows 0 RPM.
Press the up arrow once so the speed is 0.01 RPM.
Save.
Escape.

Make sure rotation is set to 0.01 RPM before beginning any experiments.
