By structuring the project, we understood the great responsibility that each of us has for the protection of the environment.
"The future is in our hands!"
We have therefore decided that at the end of our MAD for Science 2023 experience, we will continue and implement our project (and more). So here are our plans for the future of research at Liceo Majorana in Rho:
Surely, the first point on our list is to realize our project in all its experiences and facets. We have been lucky enough to be able to carry out some experiences in the laboratories of our sponsors and we want to consolidate scientific and research techniques to shape them for our study. If we receive the necessary equipment, we will carry out everything in our bio-laboratories, otherwise we will try to do it in external laboratories with the collaboration of private or public entities.
The intention is to do real research and make real discoveries in the scientific field; we therefore propose to verify the effectiveness of bacterial species for the metabolization of certain specific organic molecules in a constructed wetlands environment in vitro and in vivo.
The aim is certainly to disseminate our results free of charge, in order to be able to help (even minimally) research pole studies.
To test our phytoremediation prototypes we need an adequate plant and why not do it in the form of a park inside the gates of the high school? This is where Rizo-sfera was born: the park where everything fits together, a place for meeting, research and relaxation, where man can find himself in direct contact with nature. In addition to studying phytoremediation, we want to verify the effectiveness of our natural and ecological fertilizer.
Starting from the results of the realization of our Bacteria Going High project, we intend to make the possibility of developing a targeted wetland system accessible to all. We believe that scientific research, in addition to implementing STEM discoveries and inventions, can and must change everyone's life for the better, so, for the first time ever, we introduce Floaty*: the revolution of water purification. A startup idea born within the walls of the Liceo Majorana.
