VISUAL ARTS

Whether it's an oversized crayon in a kindergarten class or an artist's paintbrush and acrylics in the high school, Liberty Christian students of all ages have many opportunities to cultivate their creativity in the visual arts. In visual art classes, students develop their practice of art-making in skill, expression, and originality with a wide variety of mediums and subject matter in both traditional and innovative techniques.

ELEMENTARY

MIDDLE SCHOOL

SECONDARY

The Elementary Art Curriculum explores the 4 disciplines of art production, art history, art criticism, and aesthetics. Our focus is on the elements of art, the principles of design, and a variety of art media, all designed around the Indiana state standards. We use the Bible and God's creation as inspiration for their artwork.

Students will begin learning technical skills in different art mediums such as; drawing, painting, mixed media, and 3dimensional artwork. They will also be exposed to the artwork of famous Art Masters, understand that God gives artistic abilities to reflect Him as creator, and will work in a collaborative art community.
