Art 1

Course Description:

 ART 1  emphasizing the elements & principles of art in the areas of drawing, 2D

and 3D conceptual design. The course provides students opportunities to express their ideas,

feelings, and personal experiences in art. We will explore art history & artists, styles & media and

develop technical & critical skills to help analyze and interpret the meaning in art. 

Activities include studio projects using a wide variety of materials and tools both 2D and 3D, sketchbook/journal activities, art critiques, reading, writing assignments, self reflections, tests,  group activities, displays, and videos. All projects, activities and studio practices count toward student grades.  Refer to General Art Rubric for further information.
