Off-Boarding FAQ
Team members should notify their manager of their voluntary resignations at least 2 weeks before their last day or as soon as possible.
When a team member informs a manager their decision to leave Libertas, they must submit a written letter of resignation containing the expected last day of work. Letters of resignation should be sent to their manager and include the Head of School and DOO, as we must ensure final pay is processed and delivered to the departing team member in accordance with federal and state mandates and based on when verbal or written notice was first provided.
If you are enrolled in benefits/health insurance your last day of coverage will be on the last day of the month, of your last day/off-boarding date. For example, if your last day is 6/15 then your benefits will be effective until 6/30, and you will lose coverage beginning 7/1. You will receive information regarding termination of benefits/COBRA eligibility during your off-boarding session. A COBRA packet will be mailed out to within 15 days of your benefits termination.
Instructional, salaried team members who work through the last day of work for school staff will receive pay through June 15th.
Instructional, salaried team members who end work sooner, will forgo the benefit of pay through June 15th and be paid according to the last day worked.
Instructional and Non-instructional, hourly team members will receive pay through the last day worked.
Final pay will be issued via direct deposit unless you have informed the DOO that you would like to receive a paper check. The final paycheck will be inclusive of any days or hours worked which have not yet been compensated.
