Mission Class Syllabus

MISSIONS CLASSES

Our Missions classes teach an understanding of what doing missions means, why we do missions, who and how we do missions, and where we do missions. It utilizes a monthly focus on specific missionaries in various areas of the world using the Women's Missionary Union (WMU) Missions Journey curriculum for children. Our Missions curriculum identifies how service opportunities are designed to help others. Emphasis is on determining global mission opportunities, determining local mission opportunities, and identifying school-wide mission projects. Unit objectives will be taught to each grade level using age-appropriate discussions, videos, and other resources.

In missions class, students will:

  • Learn about missions

  • Pray for missions

  • Develop spiritually toward a missions lifestyle

  • Support missions

  • Participate in the work of the church and denomination

  • Engage in mission action and witnessing
