About Me

My name is Jennifer Clayton.  I have been married to my husband, Jeff Clayton, for 32 years and we have 4 children. Jenna, Jacob, Justin, and Jackson.  I also have a daughter-in-love, Hope, and two beautiful grandbabies.  Chandler is 5 and Hazel is 4!  I was born and raised in New York State (not the city but the beautiful Adirondack mountains!)  I moved to Iceland after marrying my husband, then to North Dakota, and finally settled in Kentucky when he left the Air Force.

I have a strong desire to help our students become more self-aware, increase their self-esteem, encourage their empathy for others, and enhance their academic success in the classroom.  We need to help our students focus on understanding their emotions, working on positive self-image and self-talk, emphasizing self-management of our behavior, and learning about responsible decision-making skills.  I also believe that learning a student's individual learning style is essential to their success in the classroom.  It is important that we strive to give our students the tools to help them be confident in the academic setting. This will sometimes require individual help and LFCA has a commitment to begin to offer more of this to our students.

Missions is another area of great interest to me.  I am excited that LFCA strives to focus on Missions, both in our community, as well as learning about foreign missions.  It is exciting to think about our students serving others and being the hands and feet of God.  I have been blessed to have been able to participate in many Missions opportunities here at LFCA and look forward to being able to lead these missions projects in the future.

I am thankful for the opportunity to continue my journey with LFCA in a new capacity.  As our Mission statement states, I am committed to guiding our students to achieve a well-balanced education, emphasizing character-building and leadership skills, as well as helping our students learn what it means to love thy neighbor through serving others!
