Welcome to ELA!

This ELA class focuses on building strong reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication skills. Students will read a variety of texts, analyze how authors develop ideas and support their arguments, and use evidence to strengthen their own thinking and writing.

Students will write for different purposes and audiences while developing grammar, vocabulary, and language skills. Homework may be used to reinforce and extend classroom learning.  Classwork that has not been completed will be sent home as homework. Students will also prepare throughout the year for the SC READY reading and writing assessments.

Our goal is to help students grow as confident readers, thoughtful writers, and effective communicators.
