Health Science 3/Clinicals

Pay attention to google classroom daily

Ms Edwards' Corner

Ladies, I am excited for an amazing 2022-23 school year! There are a few changes to class procedures. The first change is the district safety quiz. You will need to pass the district AND class safety quiz prior to any lab days with a 100. If you do not pass either quiz with a 100, you may retake the quiz during academic assistance (Tuesdays at the beginning of lunch). The next big change is no cell phones will be out during class. Cell phones became a large distraction last year and you are preparing for clinicals. If your cell phone is out you will receive only one warning before you are given an MBI. If you are texting on your smart watch during class you will be asked to remove it for class.

Another exciting change for this year, you will sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam in May. This certification will allow you to work as a medical assistant right after high school. The exam will be given at the school through the National Healthcareer Association. The study materials and the first attempt on the exam will be paid for by the school. You will also sit for the National Health Science Education exam in May. I know each of you will do well on both exams.

I am looking forward to an amazing and fun year.
