Get out your novel (or short story--or even the story due next class) to begin reading. If you don't have a novel yet, you can try to find one in the back or I can help you. You could also pick up the short story "The White Quail" from the red table and begin reading. (2:00-2:20)

Remember that what makes a character complex is the "gray area" that is multiple ideas embodied into one. That is complexity. Complexity can't be a clear thing or it is no longer complex.
