Membership

Standards of membership for the Chapin Middle School NJBC must conform to the general requirements created by the National Beta Club Constitution and the CMS National Jr. Beta Club Constitution and Bylaws.

To determine eligibility students will need to have had a 3.5 Grade Point Average (with no grades below a B) at the end of 2nd semester of the previous school year.  All 8th grade Beta Club members are eligible to run for elected office (President, Vice President, Secretary, Historian). Dues are $24 and will be paid online. Dues must be paid through Online Quick Pay before attending meetings.

The potential members shall:

• Commendable attitude, worthy character, good mentality and creditable achievements will also be considered

• Not receive OSS (Out of School Suspension)

• Be committed to serving and helping others in the school and community.

• Complete 10 hours of community service outside of school
