Agenda:
- Finish How to Speak Middle English Group Activities and Present Findings
Directions
Each group will create a poster that breaks down and SHOWS (meaning use pictures or graphics) the information in the video. Don’t try to include EVERYTHING in your poster. Choose the most important things and simplify it for your audience. Define terms! You may have to watch the video more than once to get everything and I recommend that you take notes.
Groups will present information to “teach” the class about Middle English next class.
- Group 1- Vowels
- Group 2- Consonants
- Group 3- Special Letters
- Group 4- Vocabulary
- Introduction to Ballads PPT
- Poetry: “Get up and Bar the Door”
- The Modern Ballad:
- Find a modern ballad: Refrain, short stanzas, but might be longer than 4, must tell a story and fit one of the themes of a ballad.
