Winter Orchestra Concert
The Winter Orchestra Concert was originally created to give students and families a chance to see the different aspects of the program and where a student could expect to take their playing as the years of participation in the strings program progress. This special concert is a chance to also see the ENTIRE scope of the program from start (4th grade beginners) until High School (showcasing the different High School Orchestras).

Over the years, the string program has grown to such an extent that we needed THREE different performances to showcase all of the students and ensembles in the Strings Program (and to also be compliant with the LHS Gymnasium's firecode).
We hold each of the performances in the Lexington High School Gymnasium to facilitate not only parking, but a "Spotlight Performance" where each ensemble is already in their spots and they stay there for the entire concert. We are able to keep each concert to about an HOUR in length and keep the flow of the concert moving at a good and engaging pace.
Date for this year's Winter Orchestra Concert is Saturday, February 3, 2024 (snow date February 4, 2023).
This is a Ticketed Performance and all of the proceeds go towards needs for the strings program that are not covered by our budget (rental of instruments for schools at all levels, instrument repairs, new strings, etc.).

4th Grade Students from Estabrook, Fiske and Hastings Elementary Schools
6th Grade Orchestra and 8th Grade Orchestra students from Diamond Middle School
Lexington High School Symphony Orchestra
