**Please note that ALL Ensembles OUTSIDE OF of school are in NO WAY MANDATORY. These ensembles and private lessons are NOT A REQUIREMENT to be successful in School Orchestra.**

Open to 7th Grade - 9th Grade Students - Junior District Auditions are open to any Lexington Public Schools string player currently enrolled in their school orchestra program that would like to audition on Violin, Viola, Cello or Bass. This is a low commitment extracurricular auditioned orchestra that would have two rehearsals and a concert.
Auditions consist of scales on their instrument and a prepared piece. Please click the Northeaster Junior District link for more information regarding requirements.

For Easier Access:
9th - 12th Grade Students - Students who audition for Northeastern Senior Districts and have a successful audition are sometimes given All-State recommendations to perform in an orchestra comprised of musicians from all over the state with a final concert in Symphony Hall. Please click on the MMEA All-State link for more information and those requirements.
