APRIL 27 - MAY 3: Choice Board inspired by The Art Assignment

• Choose an already-existing art assignment and complete it, sharing the results
• Choose a sing/album that you love and fill an entire page with art inspired by it
• Design your own Art Assignment (and then do it!)

APRIL 20-26: Choice Board on Portraiture with Meaning

• Create "current state" collage portraits by cutting from magazines and newspapers
• Interview someone you live with and sketch them/take notes. Reveal their *power* through your sketches
• Facetime a friend or family member and document the conversation. Incorporate technical skill and note-taking!

APRIL 13-19: Choice Board on Artists in Portraiture

Create an Artist Study page, researching ONE of the following artists:

• Kehinde Wiley
• Maxine Helfman
• Chuck Close

APRIL 6-12: Choice Board on Introduction to Portraiture (choose ONE!)

• Recreate a famous portrait; cite original work/artist and include your photo side-by-side with it
• Write a narrative piece (creative writing) from the point of view of a subject in a famous portrait
• Try your hand at drawing a portrait (a "selfie," a family member, or an imagined person)
