Enable Focus Mode on your Chromebook
When Focus mode is on, you can find, add, or remove tasks you’d like to focus with.
On your Chromebook, at the bottom right, select the time.
Select Focus.
Customize your settings:
Timer: Choose how long you want to stay in focus mode. The timer lets you know when your time is done. You can extend the time if you want to focus longer.
Task: You can either create a goal for focus mode or select one from your Google Tasks.
Sound: You can select what sounds you want to play in the background:
Focus Sounds: Select from 4 curated playlists for Focus:
Nature
Ambiance
Classical
Flow
Do Not Disturb: Choose whether to place notifications on hold. To turn "Do Not Disturb" on or off:
On your Chromebook, at the bottom right, select the time.
Select Focus.
Turn Do Not Disturb while in Focus on or off.
When “Focus Mode” is on, “Do Not Disturb” is on by default.
Select Start.
Play white-noise while working. Research has found that music with lyrics decreases productivity!
Listen to the rain via this website
Search for study music on Pandora, Spotify, or YouTube (this site has background music from YouTube)
Try a computer-based app such as Rescue Time to set goals, monitor those goals, and receive feedback about how you use your technology

Use the Focus time feature in the Block Site extension as a Pomodoro timer
Try the Forest extension for 30 minutes "on"/working and then a 30 minute break.
Create a checklist for the specific work block. Checklists are easy to create with Google Keep.
Set a timer for an interval (perhaps start at 5 minutes). Each time the timer rings, get back on task. Or try a more sophisticated app for behavior change such as MotivAider.
