Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of the Black and African American community in U.S. history.

In February of 2020, over one hundred students, teachers, and administrators across Lexington came together to create a pop-up museum to enrich students’ understanding of Black history, supplement their learning in their academic courses, and give them the opportunity to celebrate the artistic, literary, and musical achievements of the Black and African American community. The museum was visited by over one thousand students and community members, and the museum also hosted speakers and local organizations who came to share their expertise with our school. Please visit the 2020 pop-up page of this site to read more about this event and those who made it possible.

Since February of 2020, we have worked to archive and update the museum's exhibits so students, teachers, and community members can access them in a completely digital space.
